The Royal Wedding

So the day has finally arrived! April 29^th /2011, marked in history as the day Prince William & Kate Middleton were joined in marriage! ……. And it was televised!! If you were not able to watch the live broadcast, here’s a link to watch the re-runs!

One of my favorite Beauty Guru’s, Kandee Johnson has a “How to” video of Kate’s wonderfully done makeup! Feel free to take a little gander here =)

All Dogs & Cats Go To Heaven

 

Late last night, driving home from an early movie, a friend and I seen a cat laying in the middle of the road…. still alive. Being the animal lover that I am, I could not just leave it there and not do anything, like most of the drivers did. My friend and I took this cat and drove from one end of our city to the other and then some! We drove for two hours, knocking on doors, using willing and helpful and concerned strangers phones.

Until finally we found a clinic that was more than helpful and willing to take in a precious stray. This wonderful cat that I only knew for a short while, grabbed a hold of my heart so tight.

In the end, his head wounds were to great for him. In the hands of two strangers and three wonderful caring vets, I told him that I loved him and named him Gabriel. He was peacefully put to sleep and carefully and well cared for.

Later when I got home, I called my mother to vent and cry like I knew I would. She also was in the same state as me. Our beautiful and loving family dog Jessie had also past away earlier that day.

I only wish that I could make things last forever. But I can’t, because we are not meant to. But I do believe there is a place we go after we leave this world. A place where everything we loved waits for us.

…I call it Heaven.

Thunderstorms & Puppies

There is nothing quite like the sound of rain hitting the ground, or the light sound of thunder rolling in the distance. Where most people would be afraid or feel uneasy, I am most at peace.
When I was a little girl, every time there was a storm, I would run out into the rain with my little rubber boots and dance and splash away. Holding my arms out as far as I could and spinning almost beyond control. Tasting rain and feeling it drip from your lips, down your chin and then fall to your feet, the memories flood my little mind <3


Today was a quiet, yet relaxing day. I woke up with sun on my face, my furry children licking my nose and the smell of fresh linens hanging in the air. That's when I through the blankets off, pulled the sheets and pillow cases and through them in the washer. I folded clothes and towels as I always do (it has become my second job)and breathed in the fresh air coming through my bedroom window.... the smell of spring and damp flowers and three little puppies waiting for hugs and kisses... (sigh)..and I smile.


.... Day's like these make me sleepy =)
